Since 2009, TODOS - Caminhada de Culturas has been celebrating Lisbon as an intercultural city through contemporary performing arts.

Promoted between the Academy of Cultural Producers and Lisbon City Council, TODOS has contributed to the destruction of territorial ghettos associated with immigration, inviting audiences to socialise with cultures from all over the world in the Portuguese capital.

TODOS 2024 - AMONG EQUALS

Stop for a moment. Let's look around and see our street. There are different faces everywhere: workers, survivors, tourists, nomads, Lisboners. Many of them invisible. Let's listen. Perhaps then we can better understand those around us, perhaps then we can open ourselves up to the fact that their lives are also part of our lives. We live in times of war and increasing violence. On the streets we hear half-words attacking each other and others, and we realise that there are deaf ears from old and new residents digging, once again, moats of discrimination, indifference and mistrust towards those who join our city

But let's stop. Let's listen. And inspired by the enormous richness and human diversity of Arroios, let this listening and attention show us how Lisbon's vitality lies in this crossroads of hundreds of nationalities, hundreds of people who share their stories, their memories, their dramas, their dreams and their joys with us. Yes, because there is joy in being here in Lisbon, in Portugal, in Europe, in a land that will inevitably be our common land and where we can all learn to build shared lives that will bring new knowledge and sensations to everyone. Yes, let's rejoice: we need each other to greet the future together!

The TODOS 24 programme features artistic proposals that invite this reflection and, at the same time, the celebration of the joy of being together in solidarity, in a humanist manifesto where reason and heart come together. We are still here, now in Arroios, all together, discovering the world that is coming to meet us, on a journey in which the path transforms us at every step, building common dreams, sharing imaginations, discovering new melodies, learning words and knowledge and prayers, feeling fears and provoking enigmas, confiding doubts and opening our hearts. Let's stop. Let's listen. And so we will greet Life and call for moments of peac

In a plural and therefore unique territory, as Lisbon aspires to be, we are guided by the values of Solidarity, Humanism and Democracy. This is how we travel the world without leaving Lisbon. And this is how, among so many different faces, we will always be Among Equals.
